Ruling party men snatch arrested accused

Around 100 pro-Awami Leage Bangladesh Swechchhasebok League activists snatched an accused held in an arms case from police in Mazampur area in the town on Monday.
The ruling party men also vandalised the microbus carrying the arrestee.
According the police, detective Branch (DB) police, led by its in-charge SI Murad, arrested one Akbar Ali, 39 from Thanapara area at about 12.30pm in an arms case.
When the microbus carrying the arrestee was crossing Mazampur gate for Kushtia police line at about 1.15pm, the Swechc- hhasebak League men, who were holding a meeting there, swooped on the bus.
The AL men vandalised the micro and snatched Akbar from it.
SI Murad however, said that "some unidentified people snatched an arrestee ransacking their microbus".
Police are trying to find and arrest Akbar, said additional police superintendent Joynal Abedin.
