Blast kills1 in NE India
A man was killed and another injured in a blast on Monday in the insurgency-racked northeastern Indian state of Manipur, police said.
They said a bomb exploded on a road in the state capital Imphal.
"A few people were standing on the roadside when the blast took place. One person was killed and another injured," police official A.T. Singh told AFP by telephone.
None of Manipur's 22 known militant or separatist groups has claimed responsibility for the blast, police said.
