Iajuddin on life support
Former president Iajuddin Ahmed has been on life support at Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok, said family sources.
The 81-year-old educationist underwent an operation on his heart valve on October 28 and since then he has been lying unconscious at the hospital, reports our Munshiganj correspondent.
Iajuddin's condition deteriorated on Sunday after his kidney problems intensified, said his son Imtiaz Ahmed Babu.
The former president was first taken to Bangkok on September 11 last year after he fell seriously ill in August.
He was again rushed to Bumrungrad Hospital four months ago. After conducting a few diagnostic tests, the doctors recommended surgery on his heart valve, Babu added.
