35 out of 70 train carriages ready

A total of 35 metre-gauge train carriages, out of 70 to be brought into service from October 22 to meet the rush of passengers ahead of Eid-ul Azha, have been refurbished, said Bangladesh Railway (East Zone) sources.
The remaining 35 carriages will be ready for service by October 23, said Md Harun-ar-Rashid, divisional superintendent of the railway's carriage and wagon repairing workshop in Pahartali of Chittagong. Employees are passing a busy time in the workshop's 22 shops.
