4 return home after serving jail in India

Four Bangladeshis, who served three years in Jail in India's Assam state, returned home yesterday.
They are Alam Mia, 23, son of Kamrul Hasan, Islam Hossain, 23, son of Rafiqul Islam, Ala Uddin, 40, and Mohammad Ali, 32, sons of late Nasir Uddin. They all hail from Rostamnagar village under Parbattipur upazila of Dinajpur district.
Border Security Force (BSF) of India handed them over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) following a company commander-level flag meeting yesterday morning.
According to BGB and police sources, the four illegally entered India through Hili border under Dinajpur district in 2008.
Police arrested the Bangladeshis in Dhubri district under Assam state on September 5, 2009 and produced them in a court that sentenced them to four months' imprisonment. But the four had to suffer three years in Dhubri jail due to legal complexities, sources added.
Meanwhile, an Indian citizen was arrested from a bordering village under Naodanga union of Phulbari upazila yesterday.
The arrestee, Majidul Haque, 37, hails from Kishamat Karola village under Dinhata Police Station of Coochbehar district.
