RCC launches free Wi-Fi service

Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has launched Wi-Fi network coverage in Boro Kuthi area on the Padma riverbank at Dargahpara in Rajshahi city.
RCC mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton inaugurated the free internet facility at the Boro Kuthi premises yesterday.
The RCC introduced Wi-Fi facility to encourage people's involvement in information technology, he said.
The corporation would also set up Wi-Fi zones at five more open spaces in the city soon, he added.
With RCC councilor Shariful Islam Babu in the chair, former mayor Abdul Hadi, Prof Muhammad Kayes Uddin, Dr M Khademul Islam, Dr Golam Sabbir Sattar Tapu, among others, attended function.
