Bari Siddiquee's spirited performance in Magura
With his signature song “Ami ekta jinda laash” and many other popular songs like “Amar gaye jato dukhkho shoy”, Bari Siddiquee, the uncrowned king of folk songs kept the audience spellbound at the RSKH School playground at Mohammadpur upazila headquarters on October 12. The famed singer rendered 15 of his popular songs to the delight of his cheering fans and folk music lovers.
Thousands of people from remote areas of the district thronged the venue to enjoy his performance as well as to have glance of the famed singer.
Earlier, local singers Bikash and Purnia rendered modern songs at the programme.
The popular songs of Bari reverberated at the venue as a part of the inaugural ceremony of a football academy named after late Awami League (AL) lawmaker advocate Asaduzzaman at Mohammadpur upazila headquarters in Magura district.
The event was followed by a discussion where president of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Kazi Salahuddin was the chief guest while BFF's senior vice-president Abdus Salam Mushidi, its vice-presidents Kazi Nabil Ahmed and Arif Khan Joy were special guests.
Asaduzzaman Foundation's president Sheikh Fariduzzaman Sagar presided over the discussion held as a part of the inaugural ceremony.
