Obituary
Zillur Rahman, former division chief (additional secretary) of the Planning Commission, died in the capital's United Hospital on Wednesday night. He was 82.
He left behind his wife, two daughters, two sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers.
Zillur, uncle of incumbent State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Mohammad Enamul Haq, was born in Shibganj of Chapainawabganj on September 1, 1930.
He obtained his Honours and Master's degrees in Economics from Dhaka University and later received MS degree from Michigan State University, US.
Zillur also served football federation as the general secretary from 1977 to 1981.
