Awards for young poets and writers

Literary magazine Kali O Kolom and HSBC have taken an initiative to recognise young and talented poets and creative writers across the country with the award “HSBC-Kali O Kolom Tarun Kobi O Lekhak Purashkar” (since 2008).
At a press conference held yesterday, it was announced that the awards for the year 2012 (Taka 1 lakh for each prize) will be announced in four sections.
Present at the press conference were: Andrew Tilke, CEO, HSBC; Talukdar Noman Anwar, head of marketing, communications and corporate sustainability, HSBC; Mahbub-ur-Rahman, corporate banking head, HSBC; member, editorial board, Luva Nahid Chowdhury; and editor, Kali O Kolom, Abul Hasnat.
