Beautiful Bangladesh

A two-day photography exhibition, titled “Beautiful Bangladesh” will begin in the port city on September 27 on the occasion of World Tourism Day. Adventure Club of Chittagong (ACC), an eco-tourism promoting organization, is holding the event in association with Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, The Daily Star and Vromon Bangladesh.
Abul Momen, resident editor (Chittagong) of the daily Prothom Alo will inaugurate the exhibition at 4 pm at Shilpakala Academy Art Gallery in the city.
Dr. Samuel Berthet, director of Alliance Francaise, Chittagong; Raisul Huq Bahar, Chittagong bureau chief of The Daily Star and Saifur Rahman, unit Manager of Parjatan Corporation, will be present as special guests on the occasion.
Photographs depicting the various tourists attractions of the country will be on display at the exhibition, said Mamunur Rashid of ACC on Tuesday at a press conference held in a local restaurant.
A bicycle rally will also be held on September 28 to inspire the youth to ride on bicycles with a view to protect the environment from pollution.
