Catching up with Zahid Hasan

Special plays set to air during the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha are keeping most actors and directors on their toes these days. Popular actor and director Zahid Hasan is no exception. He has already completed directing a tele-film and a play for Eid, also acting in both the productions.
The tele-film “Chithhi” will feature Hasan opposite Romana, while the actor will pair up with Sarika in the drama “Nilima Kadchhe Keno?” Hasan informed that the stories of the two productions are completely different, adding that both were shot in Sirajganj.
Hasan has also directed a one-hour drama titled “Biyeta Amar Khub Dorkar”, written by Sagar Jahan. This may be aired as part of the Eid-special programmes. The busy director will also travel to Cox's Bazar next month to shoot the latest addition to Sagar Jahan's popular “Arman Bhai” series. “Arman Bhai Honeymoon-e”will be aired on Banglavision during Eid.
Hasan said “All the episodes in the 'Arman Bhai' saga have been hits with the audience. Hopefully 'Arman Bhai Honeymoon-e' will continue the trend, if not exceed it.”
Apart from Eid specials, Hasan has also almost finished shooting for a new serial titled “Korta Kahini”. Currently he is in Sirajganj, shooting the serial, “Shaheb Babur Boithhok-khana”, directed by Zahidul Islam Mintu. Hasan expressed the hope that the drama will offer something new to the viewers. Work on the project is expected to continue in Sirajganj till October 4.
Meanwhile, Rtv has begun airing a new serial featuring Hasan, titled “Capsule Five Hundred Mg”, directed by Mohammad Noman. On the other hand, “Toto Company” directed by Zahid Hasan himself, will begin on ATN Bangla next month.
