College girl commits 'suicide'

A college girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room at Krishnabati village in Monirampur upazila of the district on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Mukti Biswas, 17, a student of Sabujpali College and daughter of Swapan Biswas of the village. Police said, on information, they recovered the body of Mukti from the spot at about 10pm and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police said she might have committed suicide following a family feud. A UD case was filed in this connection.
