Death threat to NHRC chief condemned

Nagorik Uddyog, a human rights organisation, yesterday strongly condemned the death threat issued to National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chairman Prof Mizanur Rahman. It expressed grave concern over the death threat via cell phone calls and SMS from an unknown number, says a press release.
The rights organisation demanded that the government identifies the culprits and punishes them accordingly. It also demanded that the safety of the NHRC chairman be ensured.
