Sale begins today in Ctg

Bangladesh Railway will start selling advance train tickets at Chittagong Railway Station today to ease sufferings of the homebound people ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The advance ticket sale that starts today would continue till August 9, and every day tickets would be sold from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Chittagong Railway Station Manager Shamsul Alam said the advance tickets will be available today for train journey of August 14.
In the same way advance tickets for 15, 16, 17 and 18 would be available on August 6, 7, 8 and 9 respectively, he said.
Rail authorities will also introduce two special trains on Chittagong-Noakhali and Chittagong-Chandpur routes from August 16.
At least two more coaches will be added to every regular train from August 14, Shamsul said.
A six-member vigilance team has also been formed to stop sale of ticket in black market, he added.
