BD A try to defend paltry target
Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Colts XI were in the driving seat against the visiting Bangladesh A side at the end of the second day of their four-day match in the Safi Darashah (KSCA) Invitational Tournament in Bangalore yesterday.
Off-spinner Sohag Gazi claimed six wickets while left-arm spinner Enamul Haque captured three, but the KSCA Colts XI managed to score 223 all out in reply to Bangladesh's paltry 110, securing a lead of 113.
Facing a sizeable deficit, the second string Bangladesh side improved their batting in the second innings as Imrul Kayes made 43 off 93 balls and young Mominul Haque hit the team-highest 49 off 64 balls, but still they could only reach 232 before being bundled out.
For the Colts, Sunil Raju grabbed five wickets while Arjun Shetty picked up four to continue their good work from the first innings.
Chasing a 120-run winning target, KSCA Colts XI scored 12 runs for the loss of two wickets, both picked up by Gazi.
