Indian minister due on Aug 4
Indian Minister of Rural Development, Drinking Water and Sanitation Jairam Ramesh will arrive on a three-day official visit to Bangladesh on Saturday.
He is scheduled to attend the International Conference on People's Empowerment and Development in the capital where he will address the inaugural session and participate a working session on “Creating Jobs for All.”
During his visit, Jairam Ramesh is also expected to call on the government high-ups, opposition leaders and other dignitaries.
His visit will give a further impetus to the strong bilateral relations existing between India and Bangladesh, said a press release of the Indian High Commission in Dhaka yesterday.
