Probe identifies 8 BCL men as attackers of JU cultural activists

A probe committee of Jahangirnagar University (JU) has identified eight activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of the university unit as attackers of cultural activists.
They are SM Mahtab Mehedi, Md Jahangir Alam, Md Saifur Rahman, Ferdaous Ahmed, Mitun Kumar Kundu, Mahmudur Rahman, MG Rabbi, and Sheikh Shariful Islam.
The list of the names was presented at a meeting on Sunday, said Proctor Tapan Kumar Saha.
A group of BCL workers stabbed at least 15 cultural activists of Jahangirnagar Sangskritik Jote on April 28 for carrying out movement against the then vice chancellor Shariff Enamul Kabir.
Later, a four-member probe committee, headed by Prof Sufi Mustafiur Rahman, was formed.
