Westin's show for food lovers

The Westin Dhaka in association with Singapore Airlines is now organising the Oriental Express that will celebrate the authentic cuisines of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Cambodia.
The key focus of the event is to promote and introduce a new cuisine that will enhance the social and culinary experience of Dhaka's food lover, according to a statement of the hotel yesterday.
A press conference was organised at the Signature restaurant Seasonal Tastes on June 24 as part of the event that will end on July 7.
Darryl Lau, Singaporean consul in Bangladesh; Mutoharul Djanan, counsellor of Indonesian embassy; Ahmed Fikri, charge d' affaires of the Malaysian high commission; Lionel Siau, general manager of Singapore Airlines, and Azeem Shah, general manager of The Westin Dhaka, attended the press briefing.
Some of the foods presented by guest chefs include: Kerabu Ayam, Kerabu Ketam, Soto Ayam, Ayam Bunga Kantan , Kakap Bakar Dabu, Buah Melaka, Dodol and Pulut Hitam.
Diners of the food promotion will have a chance to win return train tickets to Kolkata and 10 percent discount on food and beverages through out the festival. The food promotion is open for dinners only and usual prices are applied for guests.
