Olympic Day celebrations launched

To celebrate Olympic Day 2012, the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) has undertaken an elaborate set of programmes that started yesterday through tree plantation and distribution among the city schools.
In this regard, a press conference was held yesterday at the BOA Auditorium where BOA director general Wali Ullah, deputy secretary general Anisur Rahman Dipu, Rozina Akhter Khanom, assistant manager (marketing) of sponsor Coca Cola Fareast Company, Nurul Fazle Bulbul and BOA member Rana Hasan were present.
Later in the afternoon, a seminar on 'Olympic Values Education Program' was held with the participation of school students.
The three-day program also included an art competition for children today and will continue with the staging of the Olympic Day Run at 64 districts and seven divisional headquarters tomorrow. The program will also include a blood donation and free medical service at the Bangladesh Handball Stadium tomorrow.
