Shakib inspires JDC, Millenium

Millennium Cricket Academy and JDC Udioman Cricket Academy won their respective matches in the CJKS-Urban American Under-18 T-20 Cricket Tournament at the MA Aziz Stadium yesterday.
The presence of top Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan however hogged the spotlight on the day.
Shakib, who has been rested for the Tigers' ongoing Zimbabwe tour, appeared in the stadium to inspire the young cricketers participating in this tournament. The 25-year old Magura lad enjoyed the second match between JDC Academy and Junior Academy.
It was a rare experience for many young cricketers who asked questions and received tips from the world number one all-rounder.
Back to the match, Millennium Cricket Academy managed an exciting two-run victory over Bangladesh Boys Cricket Academy in the rain-interrupted clash.
Millennium Academy scored 90 runs for nine wickets in the revised 16 overs.
Jahurul scored the highest 27 runs while Tareq added 14. Mizan took three wickets for 12 runs.
In reply, Bangladesh Boys were bundled out for 88 runs in 15.4 overs. Rubel top-scored with 35 while Irfan added 17.
Yasin and Julhas captured two wickets each while man-of-the-match Jahurul took one wicket.
In the day's second match, JDC Udioman Cricket Academy defeated Junior Cricket Academy by six wickets.
Junior Academy were all out for 76 runs in 15.5 overs. Arfan scored highest 21 runs. Amir and Suja took two wickets each.
In reply, JDC reached the target in 15 overs for the loss of four wickets. Sumon scored 40 with the help of five boundaries and one six to be adjudged man-of-the-match.
