Poultry trader stabbed to death

A poultry trader was stabbed to death and his two friends were injured in an attack by a gang of criminals at Dakkhin Betiara village in Chouddagram upazila early yesterday.
The victim was identified as Mohinuddin, 28, son of Abdus Salam of the village.
Police said, a gang entered a room adjacent to the poultry farm at about 1:30am and beat up Mohinuddin's two friends -- Mokbul and Helal, leaving them injured.
Later, they entered the room of Mohinuddin when he was asleep and stabbed him to death. The criminals managed to flee the scene.
Police said the youth might have been killed following previous enmity over drug trading. Mohiuddin was doing poultry business giving up drug peddling but his friends were still involved in drug trading.
The injured were admitted to Feni Sadar Hospital. Police recovered the body and sent to hospital morgue for autopsy.
Victim's brother Illias Ahmed filed a case with Chouddagram PS.
