113th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam observed

To celebrate the 113th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, Swadesh Cultural Foundation organised a programme recently at Sufia Kamal Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum. The programme featured discussion, musical soiree and an award giving ceremony. Former secretary and chief adviser to the Citizens Rights Movement, Syed Margub Morshed, was present as chief guest at the programme. Professor Sukomol Barua of Pali and Buddhist Studies Department, University of Dhaka, was present as special guest at the programme. At the event, photographer Lovely Shamsunnahar was awarded for her photographic documentations -- depicting places where Rabindranath Tagore lived, wrote and visited.
