Hemp seized, one held in Ctg

Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police arrested a person and seized 1 kg hemp allegedly from his possession in the port city yesterday.
The arrestee was Abul Hossain, 35, son of late Ali Hossain, hailed from East Sabdi Nagar in Chittagong.
Acting on a tip-off, a DB team conducted a drive in front of Hotel Manila in Chittagong Railway Station area around 3:20pm and nabbed Abul and seized the hemp, wrapped in a plastic bag, from his possession, said a DB press release.
Abul was handed over to Kotwali Police Station where a case was filed in this regard.
