Finance Minister AMA Muhith has said the work of Jatrabari flyover will be completed by December.
The finance minister informed this to reporters after a meeting with the officials of communications ministry, bridge division and Dhaka City Corporation at Muhith's secretariat office yesterday.
The minister said to ease traffic jam in Dhaka city he held the meeting to assess the implementation status of the infrastructure projects.
Muhith said the flyover will now go upto Plassey. He said the work of the flyover is going well and added that some technical change to the project may be necessary.
He also said to end the traffic jam the government will construct a mono rail from Tongi to Sadarghat.
Replying to a query Muhith said after completion of feasibility and preparatory work the construction of the mono rail can be finished in one year.
