Unidentified miscreants stabbed a lawyer of Dhaka judge's court at Nilkhet Baku Shah Market in the capital yesterday.
The injured was Advocate Muraduzzaman, 28, son of Advocate Afazuddin, a resident of Dhanmondi.
Muraduzzaman went to a computer shop in the market to get his BCS form filled up around 2:30pm when four to five youths, carrying lethal weapons, came to the shop and stabbed him, said his cousin Jashedul Islam.
Locals rescued him and admitted him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
DMCH sources said Muraduzzaman sustained four stab injuries.
New Market police said they were trying to identify the reason and those responsible for the attack.
