Outlaw killed in Rajbari

An outlaw and prime accused in AL leader Salam Mridha killing case was murdered by rivals at a village in Goalunda upazila of Rajbari district on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Mohan Sardar, 40, son of Pachu Sardar of Kachnandapur village in Sadar upazila and a top cadre of outlawed Sarbahara Party.
Police said a rival gang killed on Mohan at about 11:00pm in a remote area on the bank of the Padma river. They picked up Mohan from a tea stall at nearby Antarmor Bazar.
They chopped him indiscriminately and later slit his throat before leaving the place.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police said, Mohan was the main accused in a case filed in connection with the killing of Borat union AL leader Salam Mridha in Sadar upazila on February 1 last year.
Salam was shot dead by the extremists at Urakanda bazar of the union.
Mohon was also wanted in a number of other cases filed with Rajbari Sadar and Goalunda police stations.
Moyna Akhter, wife of Mohan Sardar, filed a murder case against nine identified and a few unidentified people with Goalunda police station.
