UK Support Foundation for AUW

Former UK first lady Cherie Blair and also the Chancellor of Asian University for Women (AUW) laid stress on the education for empowering women to emerge as leaders and become role models for the next generation of young women.
She was speaking on Wednesday at a launching programme of UK Support Foundation based in London for AUW that is located in Chittagong of Bangladesh, says a press release.
Women must put emphasis on education that helps them to establish their rights and status in the society, she added.
Kamal Ahmed, founder and acting Vice-Chancellor of AUW, and Surinder Arora, co-chair of the UK Support Foundation, among others were present at the function.
