Sufficient public toilets demanded

Poribesh Bachao Andolon (Poba) yesterday demanded public toilets at different places in district towns to save people from different kinds of health problem.
Residents of different parts of the city and different district towns urinate beside streets due to lack of public toilets, which is very unhygienic, speakers told a human chain.
They also said students had to spend a major portion of the day at their educational institutions but they did not have sufficient number of toilets there.
Especially girls' schools and colleges do not have sufficient number of toilets, which lead to their huge sufferings and prompt them not to take enough drinking water, they said.
The speakers also urged both government and private organisations to come forward to create awareness among people about using public toilets.
