Robbery in Sitakunda

A gang of armed robbers looted cash, gold ornaments and other valuables from a house injuring one at south Salimpur in Sitakunda upazila early yesterday.
Police said the gang numbering 12 to15, stormed into the house of one Mostafizur Rahman breaking open the door at about 2:30am.
The robbers broke wardrobe and looted Tk 15 thousand, seven tolas of gold ornaments and other valuables.
They also beat Mohammed Mizan, a cousin of Mostafizur, as he tried to resist them.
The robbers managed to flee the scene before locals rushed there.
