11 honoured in Gopalganj

Eleven eminent personalities including Ajit Kumar Sarker, City Editor of national news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), were honoured here on Friday for their contributions to respective fields.
Naba Diganta Club, a local cultural body, organised the function at SJ Model High School ground marking the Independence Day.
This is for the second time the organisation accorded reception to the worthy people of Muksudpur upazila in the district for their contributions in the liberation war, journalism, sports, literature, agriculture and other fields.
The other award recipients are Idris Hossain Mollah, Majedur Rahman (posthumous), KM Zakir Hossain, Md Iqbal Hossain, Dr Faruque-uz-Zaman, Utpal Kumar, Shariful Islam, Paritosh Paul, Mohsin Mollah and Shah Alam Tutul.
