Tareque Masud, Mishuk Munier remembered in Tangail
The contributions of late media personalities Tareque Masud and Mishuk Munier were recalled at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) in Tangail recently.
The programme included a discussion on the lives and works of the two noted personalities and a film screening.
Dhrubotara, a techno-cultural club of MBSTU, arranged the events at the academic building of the university.
Vice-chancellor of MBSTU, Prof. M Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice-chancellor Professor Moniruzzaman, proctor Omar Faruque and secretary, Dhrubotara, ANM Imtiaz addressed the discussion.
The discussants mourned the untimely demise of Masud and Munier in a fatal road accident and termed the loss as a vacuum that would not be filled.
The speakers at the discussion also urged every Bangladeshi to raise their voice against the disturbing phenomenon of road accidents.
Catherine Masud, widow of Tareque Masud, held a telephonic conference with the discussants.
At the concluding session, “Runway”, the last film of Masud, was screened.
A keen audience, including teachers and students of the university, watched the film.
