Seven killed in road crashes
Seven people, three of a family, were killed and three others injured in road accidents in Bhola, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon and Jessore districts yesterday.
BSS from Bhola reports: Four people, including three of a family, died instantly and two others injured when a truck fell into a roadside ditch in Abul Bazar area of Borhanuddin upazila early yesterday.
The deceased are Mannan Hawlader, 70, his daughter-in-law Lipi, 25, and her son Siam, 2, of South Aicha village in Charfashion upazila and helper of the truck driver Anwar, 30.
The injured, Lipi's husband Mizanur Rahman and truck driver Amir Hossain were admitted to the Sadar hospital.
Our correspondent from Dinajpur adds: A teacher was killed as a bus hit him at Paharpur in the town early yesterday.
Md Shahabuddin Liton, 28, son of Azmal Hossain of Kismat Protappur under Pabna Sadar upazila, was a lecturer of Noble Medical Institute of Dinajpur.
After the accident, local people blocked Dinajpur-Bhochaganj road for about four hours since around 6:30am.
Our Thakurgaon correspondent reports: A pre-teen girl was killed as a truck crashed her while she fell onto the road from her father's bicycle at Munshirhat in the town.
Diti, daughter of Ismail Hossain of Chilarang village of the Sadar upazila, died instantly.
Our Benapole correspondent adds: A pre-teen boy was killed and another injured when a truck hit their bicycle at Rupdia Bazar in Andhari Bottola of the district yesterday morning.
Abdul Halim, 13, son of Rahen Hawladar of Rupdia Chaulia village under the district, died on the spot.
Seriously injured Tito, son of Isahar Ali, was sent to Jessore Medical College Hospital.
Police seized the truck.
