Forest fire
Fire burnt about four acres of the Lawachhara reserve forest at Bagmara on Monday evening.
According to the office of the Assistant Conservator of Forest (nature and wild life preservation) at Srimongal, the fire incident broke out at about 4 pm and burnt only dry leaves of trees and plants.
Range Officer AKM Azharul Islam told this correspondent that the fire caused no loss to forest as there was no big trees or plants there.
Forest workers and local people brought the fire under control. He said the fire may have originated from cigarette butt.
