Tuku blames BNP for sufferings

State Minister for Home Shamsul Haque Tuku yesterday said the members of law-enforcement agencies are working to protect the life and property of the people.
Blaming BNP for huge public sufferings centering yesterday's rally in the city's Naya Paltan, he said that BNP lost the trust of people and law enforcers as well for its previous destructive activities in the name of political programmes.
Tuku was talking to reporters at his secretariat office here.
"The BNP and its allies organised the rally to save Salauddin Quader Chowdhury, Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojahid and Ghulam Azam from war crimes trial," Tuku said.
