Liquidity crisis
The central bank of Bangladesh is frequently borrowing money from the private banks because of the increasing need of the government. That's why the call money rate of these banks is on the rise. To earn revenue, the private banks also had to impose an absurd rate of interest on loans.
This is indeed an evil sign for the economy. Many private banks are losing their market due to liquidity crisis. If this situation goes on, some private banks might have to face dire consequences like bankruptcy. This situation proves again the naivety of the ministry concerned.
