Man stabbed to death by 'muggers’

A man was stabbed to death allegedly by muggers in Dewanhat Bridge area of Chittagong city yesterday.
The deceased is Dilip Acharjee, 55, a tailor by profession and resident of Fakirhat area under Bandar Police Station, said police.
Sub-Inspector Mohammed Safaet of Double Mooring Police Station said, “A patrol team of Rapid Action Battalion-7 first noticed the wounded man lying on the street around 1:00am. They informed us and we took him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.”
The hospital doctors declared him dead around 2:00am, said police.
