Domestic help 'commits' suicide in city

A domestic help allegedly committed suicide at a residential flat at Mirpur Shah Ali in the city yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Bilkis Akhtar, 20, daughter of Billal Hossain hailed from Ramganj in Laxmipur.
She was working as a domestic help at a flat of Mofizullah Bhuiyah in Priyanka Housing.
Quoting the flat residents, Shah Ali Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Babul Akhtar said they went to bed at 12:15am yesterday and, when they woke up later, they found Bilkis dead.
The victim's body was hanging from a ceiling fan in the flat with a scarf, the SI quoted adding that, the family members put down the body and informed police.
