Sagar retains junior title

Minhajuddin Ahmed Sagar retained his crown when the FIDE Master emerged unbeaten champion in the 29th National Junior (Under-20) Chess Championship yesterday.
Sagar defeated Sharif in the ninth and final round at the federation hall-room to win all his matches and finish with nine points.
Shamima Akhter Liza finished runner-up with eight points while Rezaul Islam Babu (7.5 points) clinched third place.
