Alamdanga Chitla SR High School and Sarajganj High School moved to the Chuadanga zila final in the National School Football Islami Bank Tournament by beating their respective opponents yesterday. Chitla beat Jibannagar High School 3-0 while Sarajganj beat Nadiputa High School 2-0 in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Panchkandi High School emerged upazila champions in Monohordi by beating Monohordi Pilot School 8-7 in sudden death in the final yesterday.

Hockey transfer window closes
The three-day hockey inter-club players' transfers ended yesterday with a total of 93 players registering for 11 clubs.
On the concluding day, a total of 19 players registered for seven clubs as Abahani signed up six players including Rahul Kanti Roy and Yeamin Hossain while Wari Club and Sonali Bank roped in five and three players respectively.
Bangladesh Police AC signed up two players while Mariner Youngs Club, Shadharan Bima and Bangladesh Sporting Club bought one player each for their respective sides.
