Footballer Kabir passes away
Former national footballer and coach Feroz Kabir died yesterday morning of iodine deficiency disorder at the Millennium Hospital in Dhaka.
Kabir, who represented the Bangladesh national team during the Merdeka Cup in 1973, was 56.
He left behind his wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.
Kabir was later buried at the Mohishbathan graveyard in Rajshahi.
The Bangladesh Football Federation condoled the death of the ex-international and prayed for the salvation of the departed soul. The federation officials also expressed deep sympathy for the bereaved family.
