Maoists kill 13 cops in India

Thirteen policemen were killed and two others injured when Maoists set off a landmine blast in a forest in eastern Indian state of Jharkhand yesterday.
The incident has been reported in the forest under Bhandaria Police Station of Garhwa district.
The landmine went off when an anti-landmine vehicle carrying police personnel was passing through the area, Superintendent of Police (SP) Michael Raj said.
When some policemen were trying to come out of the twisted vehicle, the ultras opened fire on them from point blank range, sources said.
