Saturday talks
Star Business has decided to sit with the business community every Saturday to know about their problems and prospects. As part of the plan, some leaders of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association yesterday discussed how the energy crisis held back their expansion and growth.
They also talked about what challenges they are facing from rivals such as India under the new preferential tariff system. They said if the government provides proper and timely policy support for the backward linkages, they can help garment exporters earn $20 billion-$40 billion a year in future.
