Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique at a discussion yesterday demanded exemplary punishment for all war criminals including Ghulam Azam for their involvement in crimes against humanity during Bangladesh's liberation war in 1971.
Addressing, as chief guest, the discussion organised by the weekly Sangbad Shironam at Chittagong Press Club (CPC) auditorium, Prof Arefin also urged the media to create awareness among the countrymen on the issue.
CPC President Abu Sufian, DU Prof Saiful Haque, Chittagong Union of Journalists General Secretary Najimuddin Shaymal, the weekly's advisor M Morshedullah and Dr Mahmud Hasan also spoke at the programme.
