Musical soiree “Praner Khela” ends at Chhayanat

Through musical programmes, albums and other endeavours, Bengal Foundation has been working to promote traditional Bangla songs for the last two decades. Music albums produced by Bengal, feature songs of Pancho Kobi as well as folk, Lalon and other traditional songs. Besides producing albums the organisation also arranges regular musical programmes throughout the year on different occasions. Musical soiree Praner Khela is a continuation to this initiative. Praner Khela is a monthly musical programme and it started from last month.
This month, the musical programme was held at the Chhayanat Shangskriti Bhaban from February 1 to 3. Noted singers Iffat Ara Dewan, Sajed Akbar, Laisa Ahmed Lisa, Mita Haque, Fahim Hossain Chowdhury and Luva Nahid Chowdhury performed at the three-day programme. Last month the programme featured Tagore songs as well as Lalon and folk songs.
On the second day of the programme Sajed Akbar and Laisa Ahmed Lisa rendered Tagore songs.
Sajed Akbar started his performance with the patriotic Tagore song O amar desher mati. Other renditions by the artiste included Amar bhuban to aaj holo kangal, Amar praner manush achhey praney, Shangshay timir majhey and more.
Laisa Ahmed Lisa rendered Ohey shundaro mamo, Ami tomar shongey bendhechhi amar pran and more.
On the first day of the programme, Iffat Ara Dewan and Luva Nahid Chowdhury performed. Mita Haque and Fahim Hossain Chowdhury rendered songs on the third and final day of the soiree.
