Foreign policy not India tilted
Foreign Minister Dipu Moni has claimed success in pursuance of the foreign policy for the last three years, protecting Bangladesh's interests and enhancing its image abroad.
“Despite having limitations, we have accomplished every aspect of our foreign policy in protecting Bangladesh's interests and enhancing her image and prestige,” she said in an interview with the news agency.
The foreign minister dismissed the notion that the government's foreign policy was tilted towards India, but hastened to add that it is very natural that India will be one of the main focus areas of the foreign policy because of historical, geographical, political and economic factors.
“It has not just been India; it is beyond India” to deal with major concerns like food security, climate change, manpower export, trade and investment, she said.
