'46 domestic help die in 2011'

At least 81 domestic help were victims of torture while 46 of them died in different incidents in 2011, reveals a study conducted on news published in different national dailies.
Nagorik Udyog, an NGO, conducted the study, said a press release.
The study shows that twenty-four died of illness and in mysterious circumstances while 18 domestic help died after falling from rooftops and because of torture. Four were electrocuted and burnt alive.
About 27 were injured in torture while three were made pregnant by their male employers.
