Juta election today

The election of Jahangirnagar University Teachers' Association (Juta) will be held today. The voting will start from 9:00am and continue till 1:30pm at the university club without any break to elect a 15-member executive body of the association.
Prof Md Abul Hossain of Physics department and Prof Arju Mian of Chemistry department run for the posts of president and general secretary from the panel backed by Awami League (AL).
From another faction of the AL backed panel, Prof AA Mamun of Physics department and Prof Mujibur Rahman of Statistics department contest for the posts of president and vice-president.
Prof Md Sharif Uddin of Mathematics department and Prof Mohammad Shariful Huda of Geography department of the Nationalist Teachers' Forum backed by BNP vie for the posts of general secretary and treasurer.
