3 Indian nationals arrested
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members arrested three Indian nationals along with a private car when they intruded into Bangladesh territory through Akhura land port early yesterday.
The arrestees, Sushanto Dev Borma, 22, Amarjit Dev Morma, 24 and Bimal Dev Borma, 26, hail from West Tripura.
Akhura police and BGB sources said the car carrying the trio entered 550 metres inside Bangladesh border at about 1:30 am.
On suspicion, the BGB men obstructed the youths and arrested them.
They also recovered a sharp knife and a rod from the possession of the Indians.
Later, they were handed over to Akhura police, said Md Abdul Mannan, subeder of BGB Sarail-12 battalion camp.
