V-Day tennis from today

Runner Group Victory Day Open Tennis Tournament gets underway at the National Tennis Complex in Ramna today with 233 competitors from across the country taking part.
A total of 11 events will he held with 70 players taking part in the men's singles while 22 players will be taking part in women's singles.
Apart from men's and women's singles, the events include men's doubles, women's doubles, U-16 boys' singles, U-16 girls' singles, U-12 boys' and girls' singles, mini tennis for U-10 boys and girls and NTC double.
Sponsors Runner Group will provide Tk 4 lakh out of the estimated budget of Tk 4.5 lakh as the champion in men's and women's singles will be given Tk 25,000 and Tk 10,000 prize money.
Commerce Minister Ghulam Muhammed Quader will inaugurate the six-day tournament where Bangladesh Tennis Federation president Shahriar Alam MP and Runner Group chairman Hafizur Rahman Khan will be present.
