CPD Board of Trustees' meeting held
The 29th meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) was held at its office in the city yesterday.
The Board reviewed the CPD's research, publication and dialogue activities at national, regional and international levels during the period from September 2007 to January 2008 and expressed satisfaction over the performance of the CPD, says a press release.
It also approved the audit report of CPD's account for 2007 and budget for 2008.
The meeting also discussed and approved the CPD's research strategy and dialogue & publication plan for 2008.
Presided over by CPD Chairman Rehman Sobhan, the meeting was attended by CPD trustees Qazi Faruque Ahmed, president of Proshika; Prof Anisuzzaman of Bangla department at Dhaka University; Syed Manzur Elahi, chairman of APEX Tannery; Nurul Haq, former member of Planning Commission; Khushi Kabir, coordinator of Nijera Kori; Laila Rahman Kabir, managing director of Kedapur Tea Company Ltd.; M Syeduzzaman, chairman of Bank Asia; and Mustafizur Rahman, executive director of CPD and member secretary of the CPD Board.
Anisatul Fatema Yousuf, director of Dialogue and Communication Division of CPD, attended the meeting on invitation.
